“No Child Should Go Hungry” was a project we were entrusted to write, direct and produce to bring awareness to food insecurity in our area.
Working with the NWA Food Bank for their fund raising gala, we were given all access to create a short film that shows a story about a little boy who is suffering from food insecurity. We follow him through a 24 hour window of hunger that is remedied by a new program launched by The NWA Food Bank. This was a 5 day shoot, in the winter, in Northwest Arkansas. Our main actor was a trooper!
We filmed across 15 different locations, using both handheld and stabilized camera setups. We incorporated studio lighting, leveraged focal lengths and camera movement to emphasize impact and emotional connection for the viewers.
Our client gave us the opportunity to attend 3 separate food delivery events so we could experience their motivation to solve food insecurity. That provided our team with the real world insight and emotional commitment to write, direct and produce this short.
